Default Need your advice on my girls soon to be bike

Hey guys, Well Gas is freaking killing me I commute about 30 miles a day to work and its costing me like 15 bucks a day in gas in my truck..

I want to ride my bike but my wife works with me.. I don't do the whole double up think on my 1krr so she has her own bike (Kawi 250) and the bike is a great starter bike, it's just she has been riding it for about 2 years now and moving up to a 600 would be a VAST improvment the 250 on the freeshouldn't be legal it's flat outdangerous...

So we have decided to look into getting a newer 600rr..and this is where the question lies..

it's a 2006 CBR 600rr silver with only 1200 miles clean title from a dealer. They want 6300 + fees so about 6900 totalfor it However it does have some down turns it's been down. the leftmid has slight scratches the tail has slieghtscratches on both sides and the levers have scratches on it too... the honda dealer i'm buying it from said they did all good testing on it to be sure it's a nice safe bike.... I need help i bought my bike back in 04 so i'm a little behind the terms

thanks for the help and feed back

Ride red

Hmmm...I think I could give more relevant feedback if I had nude pictures of your wife.

Seriously though, for that price I would expect a mint bike. I'm sure it's mechanically fine, but if you want to replace the scratched/damaged parts, it's probably gonna cost around a grand. Knowledge is power when dealing with salesmen, so make sure you go in there armed with plenty of it. I wouldn't pay that price if I were you.

+1 for that price it better not have any scratches. Where are you located that also makes a difference on price. I think if you look around a little more then you can find one for a better price. And if you dont want such a big step up from the 250 why not move up to an F4I or even a 500?

im trading my wrecked f4i for an 06..900 miles..(yay) He is turning it into his girl's bike. f4i is a great bike for anyone, but is so versitile that it can be lowered and still be a great bike.

i say f4i she doesnt need a brand new bike and you can find a decent f4i for like 4500

I just purchased an 06' CBR600RR Silver, still has 3 year warranty, Brand new tires, No damage to it, with only 3000 miles on it for 6,600. Sounds like your getting ripped off to me, but of course I bought from private seller.

ps.. make sure that its an 01-02 f4i if you go that way. all others are either ugly or have governors in them.

other than that, i think your getting ripped. my new one is only 6800, which is pricy but it has lots of mods and only 900 miles.

i see ur hesitation due to the body damage and i know u wife deserves the best but adjusting to the 6 it might end up on the ground a couple more times. i think as long as the frame is good why not, i'm sure she would appreciate it either way

Yes this is actually a Honda dealer... They say they have paper work from stuff they fixed and did check... It would be better if we had the 4500 cash to deal with but we are actually using the HONDA card to get it.. and it's this or a 9800 new 600rr.... and I CANNOT justify paying that much for a 600 that i'm not riding.. LOL thanks for all the feed back... it's a structly sound bike... I was just worried about the minamal damage... but oh well she has been on the 250 now for 2 years so i think it's time to graduate to a 600 she is pretty tall so i'm not worried about lowering it.

thanks for your help guys, you guys kick ***

it deff has low miles but the price is way too high. I paid 7,200 out the door for an 06 with a few mods, but there wasn't a single scratch on it, it's what you expect from a brand new showroom bike...Might wanna consider looking at different places.
