Default Nail in rear tire

i was looking at my bike for the 600 mile service when i notice an screw in the rear tire. i took it to a shop and they told me i need to buy a new tire. It is a Dunlop Sportmax 218k
where is a cheap place to get them or what other tires do you guys recommend. please let me know thanks

i had the same on a dunlop d208, i got it repaired mate, it's perfectly normal and saves ya a few bob, i also did a trackday with a patch.

its up to you in the end but i wouldnt buy a new one unless i had a puncture in the front mate..

I guess that all depends where you're located...but as for now, I would say search on ebay or google. Sorry I cant be of much help.

here is a web site my friend recommend. i want to stick with dunlop do you guys like the 208zr or the 220. i can find the 218 that are the stock tires

I would repair it too, i`ve had a few in the past repaired never any problems. The 208ZR`s not bad but you`ll find the Pirrelli Diablo better for `feel` and should last the same as the dunlops.

I agree..i ran my dunlops til the tread was gone, and the first day that i had the diablo's i fell in love with them. Don't know what it is, they just have a better "feel" to them.

Unfortunately, I've had my last two rear tires plugged and they held (and are holding) up great! Make sure the shop uses an "umbrella plug."
