Check out Corbin seats, I hear they are pretty comfy. I have been thinking of getting one myself. To be honest, when I first got my 07, I thought it felt better than my Ninja 650R banana seat. I knowthat may not mean a lot to you, but these seats are not that bad. There is always room for improvement though.

To be honest, when I first got my bike, I couldn't stand sitting on it for more than an hour. After a few months of riding, I rode all the way from Las Cruces to Phoenix non-stop (except for quick gas fill-ups)........no butt aches.

But Corbin seat's are amazing though.

You get used to it. I can be up for over 3 hours before I even start feeling it anymore.

I'll let y'all know how it goes. thanks for the advice, go easy...

You could always take the seat down to a reupholstery shop and have them throw another layer of foam over the stock foam, then have them re-staple the fabric onto the pan. That helps too (but then you're seat is higher, and your ergo's is at a more aggressive angle.)

This is not something that I have done, but a sales rep at the dealership I bought my bike at said he had stripped all the factory foam out of his seat and added memory foam from a mattress pad. I can see how it would be a bit more comfortable, but I am not sure how that mod would affect the supportthe seat is supposed to provide.

I would just get a Corbin. They have already done all the research and development into making their seat as comfortable as possible for a sport bike. I would just save up the $300 bucks and get one of those.

Shoot! just get on the throttle a little bit more, and you get there in less than 4 hours. Problem solved!!
