Default Minor Issues w/ an 06 RR

I just picked up an 06 RR that had light plastic damage but a busted rear wheel from a blow out. The bike only has 7500 miles on it. It starts and runs perfect, the only problem is a thick cloud of white smoke and a strong odor. I haven't really gotten a chance to check it out thoroughly yet, but going by some previous threads it may be running really rich. The bike has been parked since late Nov. as well so that may have something to do with it. I guess I just need to know what kind of maintenance should I do on a bike that has sat up as long as this one and what I could do for the smoke?

Well, if it has been sitting that long, you may want to drain/flush all the fluids, just to make sure. Could be crap gas...I dont know, Im just speaking my brain here.. You can ask the previous owner questions, if you havent already....

As for running rich, doesnt that only happen on carbed engines?

Finally got around to draining all the old fluids and going w/ all new gas, oil, coolant. I ran seafoam with the new tank and everything is much better, to bad I can't take it down the road until I get a new set of wheels for it.
