Default Micron Exhaust.......

Does anyone have a Micron Exhaust on their RR. I'm looking to buy a new exhaust and I think I'm going to get a Micron but I want to see how it looks on an RR first. If anyone has it please let me know what you think about it. Sound? Does it heat up a lot? etc.......

Check out their home page. http://news.micronexhaust.com/newproducts.php/28

My buddy's gonna be getting one. The slip-on fits under the tail pretty much flush like the stock one, so if you wanted you could keep the entire fender bracket (but who really wants to do that?). If you look at the page, the exhaust kinda looks like a smiley face [sm=smiley1.gif].

There's a section where you can hear different exhausts on different bikes. There's one for an F4i, but no RR. I'm gonna wait til my buddy gets his, then decide whether or not I'll get one too.

Hey thanks man for the help. Another question, when looking to buy an exhaust the aluminum is always the cheapest and I was wondering if the aluminum performs lower than the carbon fiber or titanium exhausts. I'm not specifically talking about the Micron but this is more of a general question. Which is the best to buy? Does it matter?

I'm in the same boat as you as when it comes to exhausts cuz I'm still a newbie as well. From my research and what I've heard, titanium and carbon fibre exhaust are stonger and lighter. They also have better heat insulation than stainless steel. Performance wise I'm sure they're a bit better, but it's not until you get to the really high performance ones, like the Akrapovics, that you'll feel any big differences.

now don't quote me on this but I think the difference between carbon fiber titanium and aluminum is weight..
not much else, a lot of riders also prefer it for looks but the I believe the weight is why they offer different types.

umm carbon fiber and titanium are lighter but they do keep the heat down my pipe is carbonfiber and after i ride its not hot at all its worth the extra money cause we have under tails and i woulnd want to melt my tail with the aluminum pipe. and if your getting a micron get the titanium carbon fiber is ugly on their pipes

I also heard titanium is just more practical. If you take a spill or just drop the bike and hit the exhaust, titanium may just leave a dent and still be ok, while carbon fibre could crack or break and be done with[:@].
