I always tell my husband put your helmet on. He takes with him but rarely uses it. Why? Well on Sunday morning while he was at a bike event in Kentucky he was hit by a car running a red light. I got a call from him( mind you I am in Columbus Ohio) babe, I have been involved in an accident. I was so worried. He did not wear his helmet so when he went flying in the air all he can remember is him using his arms to block his head. Thank God he did he walked away with minor injuries. He is very sore today. Oh yeah the car that hit him kept on going. Moral of the story guys please wear your helmets. Save you loved ones the trauma. I don't think twice when I ride my bike to strap that to my head. The bike has minimal damage to it. Someone was watching over him that night!!!!!!!!

 

Very lucky. I guess his guardian angel was with. Bet ya he'll wear it from now on. Sucks to learn the hard way.

 

Kentucky is full or rednecks and ******, no surprise they kept going. Glad he is okay.

 

i hate NC we have to were helmets it blows! i like my helmet on the freeway but crusin around town id rather not were it

 

What, are you serious? I guess hooked up to a bunch of tubes in a white room for months is a better alternative.

 

lol i have never ridden without a helmet. maybe once that was like a couple of feet to park it... im in the airforce so i always have to wear it in any state.

 

always have to wear the helmet in the airforce... glad he learned

 

I got hit by an old lady running a red on my old gixxer. I wasn't wearing my helmet either. I was so pissed when she just kept on going. I would have chased her down if I wasn't bleeding so bad. Moral of the story:You can get hit anytime, anywhere at any speed doesn't matter how good you ride, you need your helmet.
