Hi I'm new to sportbikes and I need some help. I've been looking at bikes for a while now and I've finally decided I want a CBR 600rr. I'd be looking to buy one this summer around July and was wondering how much a 2003 600rr would cost by then. I wouldn't want it in perfect condition or low mileage but I'll be on a pretty tight budget. I'd appreciate any feedback or estimates from anyone.

I may go check out a 03 600RR this Saturday for $5000 or best offer. So I think by July, you could probably get one for under $5000 definitely. One thing though is that people right now are trying to sell their bike so that they don't have to pay for storage. Dealerships also have good deals right now. Summer is when it'll be tougher to get a good bike for a good price.

 

Welcome to the forum a4joay. A 2003 right now has a retail of $6070 on Kelly Blue Book You'll have to check back next year before you buy. $5000 seems to be a low price right now, so if you can find one in good condition next year, you'll still be doing well.

 

I'm new here myself, but my buddy JL just this week bought an 03 600rr w/1800 miles on it for 3600. His bike has a salvaged title, but the majority of the work needed is cosmetic. We are going to fix it this winter and have it ready by the summer. Some people don't like the idea of salvaged anything, but sometimes people do get good deals. He sure did.

 

That is how I got my 04 600RR it had 1723 miles. It had very light cosmetic damage just part of the left faring and scuffs on the front turn signal. I got it after it was fixed. The guy showed me the before and after pictures.The guy I got it off of fixes bikes for a living and he does really good work can't even tell anything happened to it. I got it for $5000.
