Why? Lots of bikes with 100k+.

Obviously the price should be reflective of the higher miles, but if the bike has been taken good care of it could be in better shape than one with 3k miles on it.

there are lots of bikes with 100k on them yes, but how many of them are 600RRs? what i was saying is, let me rephrase, "it's not HIGH miles, but you shouldn't pay more than 3k for it." i'm sure you know, it's hard to ride a 600RR nicely =)

Paid 5200 cash for my '03 with 5500 miles on it three years ago when prices were higher, and other than a newb drop which barely scratched the bar ends, looked like the previous owner was scared to ride it, except in a straight line for 5500 miles. There's no question you can get 100k miles or more, (like three times more) out of these bikes with proper care. Most of them get totaled before the engine is shot, they are Honda's after all. What is the asking price? Does the seller have service records, or receipts for the work done themselves? Ever been in an accident? More info needed to make a fair assessment of value.

Cool

They've been losing money on this bike for a while, I would walk in with 6 Grand in cash and offer it up to them, if you have the means. Just one question though- are they an actual Honda Dealer, and everything's ligit? I think the bike is worth that in "new" condition all day long! My dad was a car dealer and told me that the dealer loses about a grand a year on a car that doesn't get sold until he's losing money, which is typically after two or three years depending on a couple factors. I imagine that it's similar for motorcycle dealers as well, though the losses may be scaled different, I think the dealer knows if he can't sell it now for what he wants, he may as well keep it as a show piece for his dealership, which may have been his original intent, but times being as they are...
Yeah I'd prolly snap that up if I were you.
