tools should be in the box. If you buy an 06 or up... they stopped giving away the tool kit. You have to buy each individual tool.

the rear seat cowl i use instead of the seat gives it a little bit extra room (and i mean LITTLE bit!). i can fit my wallet, sunglasses, and other small items in there but that's about it.

as for the tool box, i agree - it's in a crappy location [:@] i took mine outta there.

The tools you get are cheap & nasty anyway! Better off buying your own decent set, what do you lot reckon?

The tools are nice to have because they are thin and will fit in the tool box for an emergency.

My gixxer 750 buddy uses a swing arm mounted plate and it dragged the ground the other day, knocking it loose and it finally fell off right in front of me. I had a jagged piece of metal flying back at me in a curve. Since his bracket acted like a washer on his axle, his rear tire was now loose and he didn't have any tools. I was the only one that still had that cheap useless tool kit with me. See my point.

After added the speedo healer and power commander, I have no trunk space to speak of.... maybe a credit card will fit, but it'll be tight.

And last night when I got in from my ride, I opened the "trunk" to put in my new registration from DMV. Man oh man!!! The contents (owners manual, bill of sale) were HOT as heck under there. That was after only 12 miles of riding with the undertail.

Anyone ever have anything melt under there??? [:-]

i keep my registration in a ziplock bag there and so far it hasn't melted yet i took my heat shielf off too but my pipe isn't CF... it's titanium. and although it gets hot it doesn't get nearly as hot as the stock exhaust. also, it cools down fast too. nothing beats CF though!
