is there a point to all this?

145 indicated (uncorrected) and i too ran out of room. all stock.

 

No point I just want to see what people take the bike to cuz I have had alot of different people tell me the tops speed and its always been different. also they say that the 49 state legal bikes are faster stock just trying to bust the myth.

interesting... if you think about it most people that have many mods have changed their sprockets, in witch about half or less of have instaled a speedo healer. myself -1/+2 with corected speedo 157mph at the rev limiter in 6th. and speedo healer was calibrated with GPS.

gw5150 with your moded sprockest you are reading way off speed if you dont have a properly calibrated speedo healer. just to let you know.

 

How about a dyno reading? I have stock gearing on for the dyno, tuned PC III usb for my bike, K&N filter, speedo healer... hell, it's all listed in my sig. Here's the Dyno print out. My bike witout any negatives (upgrades, wind, friction and so on) only made it up to 160.

speedo healer. search it on ebay, they are model specific so make sure you get one for your year and model bike,and cost aobut 90$ or so. the are quick and easy to instal and you formulate your speedo error and program that percentage error into the speedo healer and it will display your corrected speed. and it has a neat little feature if you have your bike on and sitting still you can hit the button on it and it will flash your top speed on the gauge cluster for about 5 seconds then go back down to zerro, and the top speed can be reset to zerro. it can be complicated to program if you aren't good at folowing directions. and the paperwork included will give you sevral methods to calculate your speed error percentage. now that my 600rr got stolen i dont remember what mine was. i think like 9.2 % not sure though. hope this helps.
