Sorry to hear this Woody. Glad to see you walk away from it without injuries. Looks like it could have been a lot worse. Wow, the bike looks amazing for taking such a slide.

DON'T go with Aluminium Sliders. The Vortexs did their job and protect the frame.

 

Yea the slider took the brunt but I need a new tail, new right mid, new mirror, new levers, new passnger rear peg, new spingarm spools, and another round of paint. We were actually going to get my friends camera to go on a photo shoot so I could show everyone how my bike looked finally done.

 

Was this the maiden voyage? That's the bike you just finished with the Porsche Black? That sucks bro, glad your alright...some kid that's a friend of a friend wasn't so lucky on Easter... he crashed about 4 miles from my house.

Only 22 yo, witnesses say he was pulling wheelies and lost it. Totally his fault, too bad he paid the ultimate price. He was wearing gear, but was crushed by the car.

I already ordered Continental Sport Attacks this morning and Pazzo Levers, as well as a slider puck and new swingarm spools... This was her second trip out, the first wass only about 20 miles. This was about 7... Sucks about that kid but that the thing that gets me, I wasnt even doing anything but going around a corner at like 30/35... no big deal, done it a million times and it just slipped... those tires were slightly cupped anyway and they were the stock Dunlops so I wanted new but didnt expect it to go like this.

 

Wow i know exactly where that is, theres an acura dealership on 31 isnt there? or might be 27 who knows. Yea could have been a lot worse. Glad your alright and glad the pucks worked. Thank god for helmets and gear.

 

yea good thing you are ok....i got the vortex sliders as well, and thankfully i havnt had to test them out but by the looks of it they did their job.

Man, so early in the season and already some going down. You're right, it could've been worse. I remember leaving a car wash parking lot one day and the back end almost washed out from under me on take-off with what was on the asphalt. Your bike doesn't look that bad at all for taking a 35 MPH low-side. Any damage to your riding gear? Do you have to get a new helmet?
