nice! what kind of benefits do the inverted forks have? ive always wondered...besides looking better
they help keep the front wheel lighter and put the heavier weighted tubes toward the central area of the bike. only downfall i think is if u blow a seal u get more fluid on the brakes. someone correct me if im wrong

I am guessing you used the 06 triples as well, does it all just bolt together smoothly?

You pretty much need the whole 05-06 front end minus the tire and rotors... both triples are from the 05-06 but yeah, the neck bearings are the same and it just fits right in there and bolts on.

This was my manual for the mod:

http://www.600rr.net/vb/showthread.php?t=101981

Parts list:

What parts will I need?
The 05-06 front end swaps straight onto the 03-04 neck, so no special parts are needed.

These parts from your 03-04 can[/u] be reused:

[/b]*03-04 Wheel & Rotors
*03-04 Controls (throttle, starter module, high/low beam switch, etc)
*03-04 Neck bearings, bearing races, and dust covers (internals of neck)
*03-04 Brake Master Cylinder
*03-04 Ram Air Covers, the whole upper is fine to bolt back on

These parts from the 05-06 are needed[/u] for the conversion:

[/b]*05-06 Fork tubes
*05-06 Lower triple clamp (with neck)
*05-06 Upper triple clamp
*05-06 Clip-ons
*05-06 Wheel spacers + front axle
*05-06 Brakes (calipers, pads, lines)
*05-06 Front Fender

I lucked out and put a wanted add on 600RR.net and found a guy in state...I didn't have to pay shipping so I got a great deal. Thanks JoeRR in Westport!!

I do not know if the 07-08 will work, it was a nother total redesign so I'm guessing that it won't. But you can put the 05-06 forks on, and then add the 08 rotors and calipers for some loss in weight if you like.

Not sure about the F4i either... I'd say just get the 600RR, lol!!
