Default insurance: liability or full?

so i need to get bike insurance. i just got my quote, liability for 6 mos is only $229, full coverage is a whopping $1916 for 6 mos. i have 2004 cbr 600 rr.... so it'd be stupid to not get the full right?

for the first couple years i had it, only had liability. one minor lay down, costed about $700? to fix only mechanical, cosmetic damage was $4000+ (which i didn't do). that was a bad day.

.... I just got off w/ geico insurance, they offered the same coverage for $1400 for 12 mos! full coverage.

Try State Farm. They may require you to put your car on the policy but that is up to the agent. The agent I have does not require the car but some do. It is not a State Farm requirement (my agent told me that car and motorcycle are separate, plus there car insurance is kindof pricey)so shop around for an agent that does not require the car. Full coverage, $250 deductibles, $300 for 12 months.

I live in MD and work for State Farm, I pay about 567 every year. You should def give them a call! and if I were you if there's enough value on your bike which it seems like it should..Id get full coverage and then over the winter take collision off and keep comprehensive which is for fire, theft or any type of vandalism and that'll lower your cost over the nonriding season..hope that helps!

i decided to go w/ geico. $744 for 6 mos, full coverage. i found w/ state farm, if i moved my car there too it would be approx $50/mos, but it was too much trouble and i have a good deal where i'm at. after 6 mos it'll go down since my 2005 speeding ticket will go off my record.

Well. I'll tell you a story lol. Bought a brand new 07 Suzuki gsxr600 back in may. chose only to put liability ($6.25 a month) on it for just "temporary." Yeah. Well, 3 months later I totaled it. And i still owe about $8,000 on it and in whats salvageable in parts its only worth about $2,000. So I'm out about $6,000 there. Bought my new 07 600rr...definitly put full coverage on it. With a $500 deductable, I pay $53.75 a month for full coverage through alstate. And i'm only 20 years old w/ clean driving record.
