Insurance Company??
Ok, well we found a good shipping company to ship the bike from Tennesse to Idaho - now i'm looking at insurance companies for full warrenty.. Well my parents did a price quote for progressive (with my dad being primary and i'm secondary) and it came out Full/W for $245/month. I was wondering if anyone knows if that is a good price, and/or a better company for insurance.. I'm almost 21 years old (hitting 21 in about 23 days, got 2 MINOR speeding tickets in idaho and i did have a couple of wrecks and maybe one violation when i was 16/17 in vegas - they shouldn't be on my record anymore i dont believe).. anyways, doesnt your record clean when you hit 21? haha
oh well, if anyone knows of a better price, please let me know. thanks in advances

RE: Insurance Company??
I go through progressive and pay $66.00 a mo. on a 2006 cbr 600f4i full coverage. I have been with them for 8 years and also insure two cars and a boat through them. I have a feeling with your age and past driving record your going to be paying a bit for a while.Good luck hope it all works out for ya...

RE: Insurance Company??
our age is retardedly expensive for full coverage ......best bet is to have your dad insure it in his name then it will be CHEAP ......if hes cool....unlike mine......he wants to teach me valuable lessons bla bla bla ....translation......doesnt want me riding a motorcycle because some kid scared him on one as a child *end psycoanalysis*

I live in Canada so I don't know if this will help you much, but I'm with StateFarm and pay only $65 CAD/month. They're the cheapest up here, but you have to have your car insured with them.
As for the age thing, I don't think it's like your juvenile record where things get "wiped clean" when you hit 21. Again here in Canada, it takes six years from the offence for things to get cleared.

well tweak - my dad is putting himself as primary owner on it, and i'm secondary (so if i do wreck it or something, i can be like "well i only ride it once a month").. tomorrow we are going to talk to state farm (i found out all our vehicles are insured by them, so we will see if we can get a deal) plus we are going to put it under personal riding, and also it's registered and insured in Idaho. Too bad they dont know it's going down to vegas for 8 months then back to idaho with it for the summer..
and dragon, yeah i thought it was something when you hit 21, your record becomes clean - didnt knwo if it was wrecks/tickets or criminal record..oh well, i think it's only 4 years they can see minor violations and wrecks..

I have insurance for my car and bike through State Farm. I pay 72.00/month for the bike (full coverage, $250 deductible) and 34.00/month for my car (liability). Not bad considering Progressive wanted $6340/year for my bike. I told them to F themselves.
Just shop around and you'll be fine.
