I bought a wrecked 04 600RR about a month ago for $2500 with 3047 miles. It has a clean title and here is the story

Kid 1 buys it in 05 band new off the floor in May and rides it until July and then sells because he cant make the payments
Kid 2 buys it in July 05 and gets on it till September when he lowsides it and sends it into a field. Speed, approx 40 mph. Bike slides into the field and flips from left to right and stops.
Kid 2 takes it home and decides to turn it into a street fighter, he strips it down of all the fairings and suddenly the bike will not start and he cannot figure out why. Bike sits without being touched until December 07 when I find out about it. I buy it for $2500 totally stripped down with only a useable belly pan, left fairing, headlights, gas tank, and mechanics.

I brought it home and had it running that night, he simply removed the relays under the left ram cover. At this point the bike is 90% done and is still awaiting minor things and paint, total cost so far, approx 3500... I think I got a pretty good deal.

That is my winter project... (after this I get to help my buddy do alot to his 01 F4i)

Post some more pics when you got it all pieced back together. Great deals are always a sweet thing...so I'm gonna take this opportunity to brag about the deal I got this winter.

I had an '01 F4i that I nursed back to life last year, didn't pay alot for it and the bike was a little beat up when I got it, but I made it look nice again. I started looking for bikes for sale around CT and NYC in Dec because I was bored one day. I stumble across a dude selling his blue '04 600RR with 8500 miles on it...he listed it around Thanksgiving for $6000. The bike didn't sell, and every month he starts dropping the price, so I email him and we start talking thru emails. He explains to me that he's moving into Manhttan 2nd week of Feb, and the bike HAS to go because he doesn't want to pay $500 a month to park it in the city. Anyways, I tell him I got $4500 cash, I got $4300 for my F4i and he says he'll take it. I paid him $4700 and came away with this sweet bike that he really kept good care of...the bike also came with a solo cowl, Corbin seat, Scotts steering stabilizer, Two Bros Carbon Fiber Race Exhaust, Hot Bodies flush mounts, integrated tail light, fender eliminator, Vortex adjustable rear sets, frame sliders and carbon fiber bar ends. It does need tires, however.

Anyways, after new tires, I'll be looking at this new sweet a$$ ride for about $600 out of my pocket, and not one thing wrong with it!! It's sitting in my basement waiting for the snow to melt. Can't wait till spring this year!!
