I just figured something out....

subconsciously. After having my bike for over 4 years now, I have stumbled across something. I always turn my steering to the left when I get off the bike, and turn the ignition to "lock." Well, I just went to Lowes to get some sandpaper and where I parked at was on a steep grade so I turned the steering to the right to get the bike to stand up straight more. I normally just turn the ignition to off when I turn the steering to the right, but for some reason I turned the ignition all the way to "lock" and it actually locked the steering.

Before today I only thought you could lock your steering when it was turned to the left, I guess I was wrong. werd.

Holy Crap! I am going to go try that right now!

Nope, not on my 07. My hopes were seriously through the roof.

It locks both ways on my 06 600rr. It also locked both ways on my 04 600 f4i. I thought that was a common feature in all bikes.

im going to try it on my 07!! thanks for the info. mine doesnt lock dure to a bad key cylinder so hopefully itll lock when i go right!

Neat feature, but the bike is less stable with the wheel pointing right. You'd need a pretty unique parking spot like Volcom had to make use of it.

Now I have to go home at lunch and try it on my 06!! LOL
