How do I lower my bike? 07 CBR600RR
lowering just the rear will feel a little weird but it's still stable...if you lower just the front you'll lose alot of control...if you lower it just make sure you adjust the front or rear also.
i lowered my 03, and i havent noticed any handling issues. i had it done at a dealership and it was only the normal $65 hourly rate because i had already bought the lower links.
I do respect all the opinions these cbr oldies here have but most of them are not like 5'2" and would not know how hard it is to work 1st gear at all the stop signs and lights with just 1 foot all the time. I got mine lowered 3 1/2 inch at the dealer and balancing on 1 foot all the time every time takes it s toll and it's dangerous. That 1st gear is a bitch to deal with. Only place I will feel safe to ride it on is the freeway where there is hardly any stop light and stop sign or the race track. I can deal with trafffic, hell I weave through it all the time in my car... just cant deal with traffic LIGHTs and stop signs on one foot a million times!
Being new to the bike scene I can see no adverse affect on my 07 600rr at all with it lowered 3"1/2. Of course I haven't taken any sharp turns yet either over 30mph though. At the moment I rather feel safe and not worry about performance issue until I feel super comfortable then go back and undue/increase the performance again. Going to buy a set of slider kit and body rails too while I'm learning the bike.
