Default Hotbodies????

My friend has hotbodies exhaust on his 06 rr, and it the loudest exhaust i have ever herd. Even louder than the d&d i had on my old bike. Im considering buying the same for mine. The problem with the Hotbodies undertail is that they dont give you anything to secure the undertail it just sets under there, but it slides around a little. Anyone have any ideas to secure it and still keep it cosmetically sound?

I have this kit on my 1000. The fit is almost perfect and if installed correctly, you shouldn't need any extra fasteners. But I have noticed that if I go over a fairly large bump in the road, it has a tendency to pop out a little. My suggestion? Industrial strength velcro attached to the underside of the taillight so that when the kit's installed, you don't see the velcro and you don't have to drill anymore holes in that smooth bodywork. And I love the exhaust sound. It's a little deeper on the 1000 and everyone asks me what kinda exhaust it is when they hear it because they too think it sounds great.

hey Jrod19 if you have the option of changing you should. I had d&d and was a firm believer until i herd hotbodies. HUGE difference!

On a 600, it will be just a little higher pitch than the 1000, but they still scream at around 7k RPM. Here's a link where they tested just about every exhaust I have heard of and recorded the sound: Sport Rider magazine
