ah that's cool. I get a hundred on my test as well. The thing that made me most nervous was the slolam(sp?)

Brandon
The slolam (spelled right?) was my favorite part of my Rider's Edge course I took a few years back. They told me to do it at 25, it pulled it off nearing 50 (by accident). They said I was born to ride. LOL! The entire test (for this skills course) took about half the day. GREAT skill development and was extremely fun. Recommend it to anyone with a spare 275 bucks laying around (which my credit card soaked up).

once I got through it, it wasn't bad. I could have sworn I hit EVERY cone...turns out I was better than I thought. After I passed is when I got really comfortable on the bike though, not before. I had no one to ride with so I didn't get much seat time.

Brandon
No one to ride with? I find that learning more about yourself and your bike happens more when you are riding alone. Just a thought.

In Colorado, you have to get a permit and when you have your permit you can ride but it has to be with a licensed rider 21 years old or over. So I had to take the riding test with maybe 3-4 hours seat time.

How hard is this test really? I will be doing it on a CBR, coming from no experience. Therefore, I imagine I'll be riding around without the permit at first to get used to everything.

How about getting a lerners permit ride around a while, take the MSF course, and bypass the test all together?

You wouldn't have done the MSF cones at 50mph -- bastards are offset backwards. Instructor moved them further in for me on one pass and I scraped pegs on each turn. I didn't do any stoppies though Oops, sorry ... I meant "partial endos" [8D]

15 ft apart with 3 foot offset, impossible at high speeds...

So the MSF course is equivilant to, and will give you the same privileges as, the course you'd do at the DMV??
