Default HONDA SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just kidding, Honda is the best. Now that I have your attention, I would like some info on cbr 600s. I am looking to buy one, the newer the better, but im not sure if i should just save a little more and buy a new one or find a good used one. What do you guys think? What is considered high miles for a 600? 10,000 miles? I new to the streetbike world, but have owned many dirtbikes.
Talk to me

Welcome to the forum.

I would say that mileage really depends on the year. I would keep more of an eye out for how it was maintained and ridden. You can check out the "Used Motorcycle Buying Guide" here: https://cbrforum.com/m_16005/tm.htm

hey and welcome to the forums :-)

I have always been of the mindset to buy the best you can afford, either new or the latest, lowest mileage you can find .. they can clock up high miles no problem but if your budget is good enough why not *you* be the one to put those miles on it?? :-)

That thread title is a good way to get some attention. I saw that, and came in here ready to rip you. Luckily I saw the just kidding part. All of the bikes that I've bought in the past have been used. I guess I've been lucky because they were all in great shape. IMO, buy what you want. Go with your gut, and pass if you're not feeling it. I stay far away from bikes with salvaged or no titles, and bikes that have been laid down. I'd consider it if the bike fell over with minimal damage. A lot of times you can luck out and buy a bike already tricked out and ready to go for less than a new one. On the other hand if you buy new, there's that nice warranty, and a clean slate to do the mods that you want. Best of luck to you. Welcome.

Welcome to CBRF!! 10,000 miles is nothing to a motorcycle if it is maintained properly. I've got nearly 30,000 on my '92 F2 and it's running better than ever. There are some on here who have over 100,000 miles on their CBRs. My advice mirrors the others, though. Buy the newest, lowest milage Honda you can afford that feels good and "fits".
