While riding occasionally the bike when it hits a bump will lose power the oil light will come on for a brief few seconds the oil light will turn back off and then it will regain its power. Pretty unsettling when you're riding down the interstate. I've checked the battery connection already it's not that, any other things I should look at and or check? Thx in advance!

 

Turn your ignition on and without starting, give the key a tap or something similar, wriggle the key, to see if you can simulate turning it off for a second.

Unfortunately the key is pretty tight no wiggle or cut off at all. I'm thinking it might be a loose ground somewhere.

 

So i have a bunch of wires closely wrapped up under the speedo panel while, while the bike is running if i wiggle the cluster of wires around it shuts off, like it dose when it hits a bump.. i think i have a short somewhere in there or just wire wear and its making the bike shutoff and turn back on..

 

Try to identify the leads coming away from the base of your ignition. Turn your ignition on and gently move them about. See if you get any failure.
Check your loom in the area for any stressed plugs or damage.

 

Recently I supplanted my chain and sprockets with SV Racingpart's 525 chain/sprocket unit. It took a piece since I'd not done this previously and furthermore didn't understand that 120 connections is excessively long (2008 dl650). At any rate, I got everything assembled and stepped through it for an exam ride. Found that I had wrecked and didn't get the back brake section in the space like it should be. So I set that back and went out once more. I realize that the new chain and sprockets are a lot calmer than the first worn stuff, yet now I hear a whimper that I didn't hear previously. It isn't gear related as I can hear it when I get up to about 30mph and pull in the grasp. It is clear at moderate and medium velocities - I haven't taken it up to 60mph yet. The bicycle feels entirely fine, yet I'm presuming the back brake. We as a whole realize that the back brakes on the vstrom's are not unreasonably incredible, but rather I appear to have less halting force with it than I used to. I supplanted the cushions front and back toward the start of spring. At the point when the bicycle is on the middle stand and I turn the wheel by hand, I can hear a repeatable commotion other than the chain humming around.
