High Side or Low Side?!
Low side is when you are at a lean and bike slides out from under you-when you hit the pavement, your bike slides ahead of you.
High side is when you are thown off of your bike and it slides behind you and hopefully don't hit you.
Not real good explainations, but that is the best way I know how to describe it.

It's basically the two ways you can crash.
Low side is a less than perfect day (tires losing grip and you sliding feet first with your bike in front of you).
High side is a real ****ty day (Bike flopping to the outside, throwing you headfirst, landing hard, and waiting for the bike to hit you).

Worst of all is the low side that turns into a high side. If both wheels sliding become both wheels with too much lateral traction, it becomes a human trebuchet.
No fun.
