The service manual says its most likely a EGCV POT high or low voltage malfunction that might be caused by a loose connection.
Check the EGCV connector under the seat. If it's loose its an easy fix. If not then you'd have to do some tedious troubleshooting which I have no experience with. The EGCV is shown below.
