HEAD LIGHT QUESTION

Does anyone know of or where I can get a conversion kit for my headlights for both of them to be on on low beams and both onhigh beams? For example the R1 has it with an H4 bulb. I think they call it a dual stage bulb? Also is there any kits of there to make the little marcher light right under the wind screen brighter?

Do a search for this. There is literally dozens of threads with this EXACT question. But to give you a short reply.

No. You cannot change out to a dual filament bulb because the headlamp housing was not designed for it. It's designed for an H7 bulb. That's all that will work with it. The low beam side is designed as a low beam, the high beam side is designed as a high beam.

You'll learn to live with it. Ride with your highbeam on ALL the time during the day, and at night, ride with the low beam (or high beam adjusted down slightly, your choice.)

RE: HEAD LIGHT QUESTION

I was actually thinking about adding one or two small LEDs to the high beam side.
(Sorta like the "crazy eyes" mod, but either white, or veery slightly blueish)
And wire them to the low beam, so that the high beam housing would glow on a low intensity (kind of like a smoldering fire) while the bulb was off, but retain full high beam functionality.

HAHAHA! I posted my comment under Captain Slow's login name. DAMN YOU LOGIN-COOKIES! :D

Anyway, you could wire the LED's to the "third eye" light. It should be easier to wire into that than the lowbeam (being that the correct amount of voltage is going to the "third eye" and more to the low beam.)

Hadn't thought of that...
