Default Front Wheel Removing Question

Im trying to remove the front wheel ( time4new tire ) but i dont have a wheel stand .. do u think i can use jack to lift up from oil pan ? i really dont like the sounds of it ~ and i know that there is a stands for that ..but cant afford it .. i was just wondering if anyone tried or if its safe what not ..

I would venture to say...TAKE IT TO THE DEALER.....let them take care of all that...in the long run youll be better off..i mean jacking a motorcycle up by the oilpan....nah...seek trained service professionals....

If you don't mind crushing the headers...go ahead...

You can always suspend the bike with heavy straps from your rafters in your garage, but I agree that it might be better to take it in, or getsome freakin' stands!

You can either invest in a stand (which will pay for itself eventually) or you can pay extra for a shop to do it.

One stand won't do it fish...it's not safe to only lift the front, so he'd have to buy a front and a rear stand...and yes they would eventually pay for themselves...I use mine virtually every day.

your assumption is incorrect!

many have jacked from the header with no problems...but i personally wouldn't do it.
