RE: A FRIEND DIED YESTERDAY ON CBR1000RR
I'm so sorry for you and your friend's family. My thoughts and prays go out to you all. I'm new too and just got my 600RR a little over a week ago. Hearing stuff like this freaks me out, but that's why I don't try crazy stuff and stay within the speed, and my own limits. I don't care if my corners and turns are super-*** slow, or if soccer moms beat me off the line. I'm takin' it easy and trying to learn still until I feel comfortable with what my bike can do. Definately gotta respect your machine, and respect the road.
I'll make sure to give an extra rev for your friend before my next ride. Take care and ride safe.

Exactly what I'm doing. Riding within my limits & being very selective where I open her up a bit. If I can't see & verify no dangers, I don't go for it at all. And, the rules of the road are there for a reason. The public Road is NOT a track!!! Never has been...never will be.
