i was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction.i would like to put sliders on the bike but i dont want to
cut the plastics now i dont mind cutting it i just dont feel comfortable doing it myself and i dont want to pay someone.i heard
about relocating brackets.does anyone have these?i read that they might not absorb the energy of a fall and may damage the frame
have you heard the same?thanks for your help

yeah first you need to just get the ***** and let it go. if you take it slow and think before you cut - you will be ok.

there's a good guide to do it.
Also some tips -
Use proper equipment, even if you need to rent it (drill with circle saw bit), laser mounts, etc etc.
If your new to drill cutting - do a couple of practice holes on some raw materials like wood or something (just to see how it feels)
I would Mask tape the cutting center also (this will save on grinding the raw edges, it gives you a nice clean cut - plus you can use marker on the tape for your cutting hole)
The only way to get around not cutting the fairing is to buy a cage slider (i believe it around the fairing). but never actually seen one in person - so might be wrong.
You can do it man, just get a nice set of sliders and pick a nice day to just sit down and work thru it very slowly..

well i'm an electrician so i have no prob with a hole saw but i did see a guy who had nice carbon sliders
but they were on some bracket so he didnt have to cut.dont know much about bikes so it could be crap (the bracket)
but seemed easier than cutting and it looked good too

well just like dballer said, "no cut" frame sliders are probbly crap. brackets are probbly weak and break from a 30mph drop, bolting it directly to the frame is the best way to go. Also dont just look for looks (dont get me wrong, visual is awesome) - but you want to get a nice solid puke, and then i hear steel sliders are worthless (your bike will slide beyond the horizions and never stop haha)
