Default Frame slider question

Ok so I bought me some frame sliders. Which one goes on which side? There were no instructions and the are a little different in length.

Thanks
Thom - 05 600RR

On a side note I replaced my gas tank cover last night. Wow there are alot of parts on this bike (never worked on a motorcycle before)....

Looks like we're saying the same thing... The Vortex ones I bought has the spacer built in and it looks like the one on the left in the picture. On the throttle side of the bike, the frame an opening with a spacer and this is held in place using a pinch bolt. The Vortex base uses a mount that has the spacer and mount as one piece. It's a pain because there is a nut behind all of this that you have to get to. For us to help you, we need to know what sliders you are using. Looking at the picture and going with my Vortex set up, the base on the left has the spacer I needed as one piece. And the base on the right has a small lip at the bottom that fits into the recessed area on the clutch side. The shiny spaced would not have been used with my setup. The first picture shows the areas on the frame where the sliders are used with red circles. You can see the factory mounts use a spacer on the throttle side. The second picture shows the Vortex mounts I used and the spacer made as one piece.

Ok? I will take a picture for you guys on the sliders and maybe you can tell me in more detail. The reason being is that mine aren't dramatically different. Just a little different. Thanks in advance.

The one with the spacer definitely goes on the throttle side.

Here is a snap shot of my sliders. So which is left (while sitting on the bike) and which is right?
Thanks for all of your help.

Now do bars connect to those? Cause i wanted frame sliders but searched for them and saw huge bars on stunters bikes that went all the way under the bike and back around and they were FUGLY. If it's just those guys i have seen those on my buddies R1 and they wern't bad looking at all. Barely noticeable at that, more so look like they were meant to be there. Do they really work that great if you dump or knock her over?

If you are asking if crash bars connect to what no1biscuit has pictured the answer is no. Crash bars or crash cages usually mount at three points with one of the points being the same as the point where frame sliders mount. Crash cages are usually used on stunt bikes since the see a lot of slow and some fast speed drops. Go to any of the sponsor web sites and look up the different brand of frame sliders then go to the frame slider web sites and you should find examples of what frame sliders look like.
