RE: FIRST SEVRICE
DO IT YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!
seriously that is pretty much it
if you still have your owners manual it will tell you exactly what they do
oil change
filter
make sure idle is right (ecu controlled on the 07)
make sure brakes work (it stops and is bled right)
then then check the little paint marks on all the bolts to make sure that they are still lined up
and then the steering head bearing
go to ebay
pay 50 bucks for a manual and do it all yourself
it doesnt void the warranty(read cannot)
just keep your receipts to leave a paper trail of the maintenance

There are thousands of threads about the first service. Do a search and you'll find varied responses about the first service (which personally, I choose to have a TRUSTED dealer do it, especially if you're not used to working on bikes.)
Price usually depends on the dealer, and what they charge per hour. My first service through my trusted dealer was $80 bucks. The dealer in town (the stealership) wanted $135. Everywhere else I go, it's usually in the $80-$90 range.

Save some money......
Buy a service manual and change the oil yourself and then check everything else as required in the service manual. Document EVERYTHING for warranty purposes.
Seriously........ Do it yourself and save the $$$$ and learn about the bike at the same time. This way you KNOW the work is done right too!

RE: FIRST SEVRICE
definetly, there are countless posts about people going to the dealer and them forgetting to tighten stuff back up or forget bolts all together
i was in a service dept just a few weeks ago getting tired mounted on my wheels and heard them say
sorry, we scratched it pretty bad but was able to buff most of it out.
if you dont trust yourself then fine take it to someone, but otherwise get a manual and do it yourself. you will feel much better about it.
there is no greater feeling than doing your own bike maintenance
must be a guy thing
