First Modification

Question First Modification

I got my bike in Febuary and im ready to do something to it. I am a 20 year old new rider and have a lot to learn. I was hoping to get some advice on what exhaust to pick out for my 03' 600rr. Is the performance gain worth all that money for the whole system? Or should I just get a slip on to give it a nice (not annoying sound)? Should exhaust be my first upgrade? Any Info will help, thanks!

Take some MSF courses, improving the rider is always the best upgrade.

Whole system would be best but nothing wrong with a slip on IMO. I put the jardine dual outlet on mine and love it. Cant go wrong with two bros or jardine. I had the same prob when i was searching for myself and went with the slip on to save a lil coin.

BUT take some courses would be best

Sorry man but jardines are one of the worst pipes money can buy. Two bros are decent. Yoshis are good or akropovics. Don't buy a full because you won't get enough of a up gain for the money that you are going to spend. Get a good slip on and a power commander with a k and n air filter, map it to you exhaust and hit the track.





If you like the way a jardine sounds then I feel bad that your ears enjoy terrible sounds.

Matter of opinion rrspeedster. But i do agree with you about not buying the full spec with the way the economy is these days its better to buy a slip on

With a power commander, slip on, and air filter you spend less than a full system. Also eBay is your friend with the slip on and commander.

thats the most rediculous thing i've ever read. i've owned 2 diff bikes (03 and 07 CBR) and i've put Jardines on both of them. dont be fooled by 1 persons opinion, they sound great.

I would also agree, go with the slip on over the full exhaust, unless you got some spare coin to burn.

i think a slip on is a great first mod, other suggestions would be flushmount signals up front, and an integrated tail light in the back. makes the bike look much better.

not just 1 person's opinion man...everyone i have talked to says they are sh**. im sorry you wasted the money on 2 jardines.
