Extended warrenty?
I was thumbing through my paper work and found out that from the date of purchase you have 60 day's to cancel the extended warrenty for a 25 dollar fee. Now that i know that, i'm kinda second guessing the extended warrenty. Should i give the warrenty the boot?
Of course not. What happen when something goes wrong in a couple years. You'll be kicking yourself in the *** and trying to come up with all that money out of pocket. Keep it on there. It adds value to the bike, and keeps a piece a mind, so you know if anything goes wrong, your covered.
I guess it all depends on how much you ride. If you do 2000 or 3000 miles a year, then you might not need it.
I bought mine last month with a 5 year warranty simply because I do about 10,000 miles/yr or so, plus a lot of riding in the rain. By the time my F4i was 5 years old, it had already experienced about a half dozen electrical problems (some were very hard to figure out) and 1 mechanical one. Would have been nice to have all of that fixed for free...

i bought my bike just about 2 months ago... i only have the 1 year warranty.... then just 3 weeks ago after 3 years of ridin i had my first crash/dump.... insurance covered all the damages($6000+)... so everything got fixed and replaced... i wasn't gonna buy the extended warranty, but now i think i will, just cause of the crash...
plus i was also told i have 1 year deadline for me to buy the extended warranty so i didn't buy it then.

Wish it was a perfect world but crashes do happen, that's an awful lot of money to throw away because of whatever stupidness causes a crash. Knowing the stealership they would use anything as an excuse to get out of covering whatever.
It was 1500 to cover the next four years after the factory warrenty. This is enough to knock my loan into the 4 digit's, four digits is less then 5 which is a lot less scary.
You should keep the warranty on there for as long as you own it just in case. If something goes wrong, and the dealer finds it went bad because of the accident, and the warranty won't cover it, then you cancel it and use that money to help pay for it.
