Default Exhaust Questions

So first impressions on my new 05 Tribal... way too quiet. I'm going with a slip on... So basically it boils down to sound and price. I'm looking to stay under 500... that leaves me with the Micron and Yoshi. With a slip on, and no power commander, I don't think I would see much of a performance difference. Correct me if I am wrong, but to me a slip on is mostly going to effect sound, any restriction would be found prior.

So that said, in the 500 under range, I have my choice of the Yoshi RS-5 or the Micron Dual or Single. Not sure if I like the look of that Dual Micron...

All I am looking for is a description of the sounds between these pipes... or if anyone knows of another alternative in this range, feel free to add it along with your impressions. I'm not asking what to put on, I am trying to form my own opinion. Thanks in advance,

-Steve

Look at my reply at the above link for the same question. Also the Two Brothers exhaust that they show on their web site for the 1000RR, the M2 V.A.L.E., is available for the 600RR but for some reason they don't show it.

I have the Yoshi RS-5. Good sound, about a 7 of 10. Looks great and the price is nice too.

Thanks for the replies. Since today on the way home, I was pushed over not once, but TWICE from people not paying attention. One soccer mom in her SUV talking on a cell phone, and one guy in a buick that should probably have not been allowed to have his licence renewed at least 10 years ago. 2 close calls. 350 miles on the bike so far.. so, I think i now want the nastiest loudest gnarliest pipe I can get... and from what i have been told, the two brothers seems the way to go.

Best price I have found on it is at Star Cycle, 503.95 for a carbon... think that would look best with the tribal. Anyone know of anybody that can beat that? I'm ready to order asap, and Star is also free shipping.

I seen on the TB website, you can get a large or a small oval... Impressions on this? What seems to fit the bike best, I have no picures to compair.

Thanks again,

-Steve

Man, I feel ya on the bout getting taken out part! People were almost running over me all day every day. And I live in Wichita ks.!!!!! I'm one of the MANY laid off right now and my cash was short. So, I did the good ole, GUTT THE STOCK STUFF! LOL, now while I KNOW it's not NEAR the best result, it worked. I'm louder than I was and haven't came as close to getting plowed! Anyways, in answer to your question, I have buddies with both. I think the small oval fits better, because the large looks WAY to big back there! It looks really MEAN and all, but just a little TOO much! It'd be like putting a big *** coffee can exhaust on an ESCORT or something. Just WAY too much! That's my opinion bro! Of course, ya know what they say bout those!

Ahhh... the ol "fart pipe" look. AKKK.. sure do NOT want that... and today I witnessed quite the abomination.. two young guys installing a coffe can style fart pipe on.... get this.. a Jeep CHEROKEE... AKKKK I could have rolled over and died laughing... hey, who knows, maybe I could rock crawl a bit more with a fart pipe on my Wrangler...

So back to the pipe, since you have heard it.... how is the sound on the 2 Bros? Sound good? Compaired to a Micron?

Thanks again...
