Default Ergo changes in CBR 600s over the years

I road a Kawasaki EX500 for two years in seattle, and now just recently moved down to LA and am in the market for a new bike. I've decided that I'm going to look for a 600CC sport bike and have started looking at the usual lot (CBR600, ZX-6R, R6 etc ).

To me the most important thing is ergonomics. I'm not a racer and not going to notice the difference between the 90 mm forks and the 92 mm forks or any minor differences like that. Out of the bikes I sat on the CBR600F4i and the CBR600RR were the most comfortable. Obviously the F4i was more comfortable but the RR wasn't bad at all bad.

What I'm trying to figure out is what years (if any) did they change the ergonomics (seat, pegs, bars etc. .) on either of these bikes. Will a 2003 600RR have the same ergonomics as a 2005 600RR? What about a 2002 f4i vs of 2006 f4i? I've found a lot of articles that cover the history of these bikes (wikipedia is a great resource), yet none of them mention anything about ridding positions or changes to ridding position.

'07 was the year they changed the whole bike.

without looking up facts i know they raised the bars like 10mm or so
and they got rid of the ironing board seat and put a lot more comfortable seat on the '07s.

the first gen RR's (03-05) im not sure about.

I had a 06 f4i and now i have a 07 600rr and yea the f4i is way more comfortable you dont lean as far and the seats allot better and your legs are not so bunched up, and the gas tank isnt in the way as apposed to the rr . the rr is not as (top heavy) if your looking for comfort thats the bike. your a$$ will hurt on the f4i but no where near a 600rr the rr hurts your sh*t so to speak allot more unless u like sitting back farther on the seat and if u do that your leaned over way to far and cannot control it that well. the passengers seat sucks on the rr but hey its a race bike pretty much or is one. your wrists tend to hurt more on the rr so thats one reason why i got a throttle lock ( one of by best investments ever see someone cruising with no hands lol.. if your looking for lightness speed easier to endo or wheelie go with the 600rr. the rr is easier to do a kick stand spin with also.

Sorry I should have been more specific. The 2007 is out of my price range. So I'm really only considering the 2003-2006 600RR. From reading some more it sounds like the 600RR went through a major revision between 2004 and 2005. Can anyone describe/compare the differences betweeen the ergonomics of the 2005/2006 and the 2004/2004?

If you are looking more for comfort then I would suggest the f4i. The 2007 RR is comparable to the f4i in terms of comfort but if that is out of your price range then no other RR will be nearly as comfortable as the f4i.

Comfort is a relative thing. So I'm really not that interested in what other people think is comfortable or uncomfortable. I'm more interested in knowing when changes were made so I know what years to look out for and which I haven't tried.

I'm trying to figure out if the 2003/2004 model has the same ergonomics as the 2005/2006 models. Does anyone know?

I believe the 03 was the first of its kind. from the looks of things they change the bike a lot every two years. this year the 08 liter bike changed and in 09 the cbr should do the same.
