Default engine casing scratches.....

I just bought a new 08 600rr with the new Graffiti black on black 2 days ago........

So my dumbass finished riding, turn the engine off and tried to park it back in the garage. Then all the sudden i just lost my balance on my left side and yes the bike drop....softly since i was trying to fight the force back

Fairing has no damage at all, only thing that got scratch was the engine casing and some color chipped off

I've bought some scratch remover from Wal-Mart, but didn't work much since I could actually see the silver on some parts of it

My question is.....What can I do to re-buff or re-paint the casing to make it look new again? I know it's very minor but I just bought this 2 days ago and I still want it to look perfect!!!

BTW....I'll tried to post the pics of the new bike soon since I'm a n00bie here

Thanks

I just touched up my altenator cover with black model paint.
You can pick it up at any local hobby shop.

Yeah if it is actually chipped YOU are always going to notice the blemish. I say you because if you are like me your the one that is completely **** about it and NONE of your other friends will notice. Best just replacing it I believe Dennis Kirk has some for a pretty good price at denniskirk.com dont recall but thats where I was looking to buy my replace from.

Buy a new engine case cover. Not expensive and easy to replace. That's the Only way to make it look new again. After that invest in Frame Sliders because things like that happen all the time.

Goodluck and sorry to hear about the set down!

You can get frame touchup paint from the dealer. It's an exact match for like 10 bucks. You have to tell them to search for the frame touchup. Nothing else. Engine, swingarm, you have to say frame.

Yeah mine is scratched also.. But couldnt you just sand out the chips or w/e and then repaint it? I was thinking about repainting it, would you need the high temp. paint?
