dont worry about the seat height, im (possibly with shoes on) 5'8" and all i have is the ***** of my feet on the ground. the trick is to never stop moving and its not a problem the only crappy part of being on the toes is trying to back the bike up an incline. the trick to solve that is to plan your parking so you dont have to back up a hill. the new r1s have a little wedge of a seat, i can put two feet flat on the r1 but im on tippy toes on my RR. good luck getting a bike

I am 5'7" and I am on the ***** of my feet when at a stop with both feet on the ground. When I am at a light I use my right foot on the rear brake with my left foot flat on the ground and it works great. To do this the bike is ever so slightly leaned to the left and is very easy to balance. I also try avoiding backing my bike while on it. I never hesitate to get off and push it around. I think it looks good to on lookers when you have learned to confidently man handle/maneuver your bike and place it where you want to while rolling it around while off the bike. It shows people you have sense and know what you are doing and that is much better then looking uncoordinated trying to muscle it around on your tippy toes. Also remember when around gravel be cautious moving your bike around while on and off of it, your feel can slip put from under you as easily as your tires can.

I had regular shoes on when I tried out the bike. I might go bck again to get a second feel on it... Also I found that dealer (southernhonda.com) that suposedly sells new 06's for 7,800$ otd. I live close enough to be able to pick one up.. I am just not sure if I want a brand new one. But I guess if I can get one for tha price otd its not much cheaper for a used 03-04.

Buy the CBR600RR. I promise you won't regret it. I like mine very much. One of the few purchases I've made with no buyer’s remorse what so ever. I just read a British bike mag that did yet another write up on how awesome it is. It's great you can go to Southernhonda.com. If you wait until Spring I will go with you. I plan on taking a road trip there from Ohio to save over $1600 on a 2006 1000RR. Don't rule out buying a new 05 600RR if they have any left especially if you like the colors better that way you will save even more money, $7283 for one of those.

I just bought an 06 CBR 600rr and love it. I believe you can ajust the spring so you are not on your tippy toes but dont quote me on that. I was out the door at about 7800...

Where did you buy it? You got a great price. Did that include your state tax?
