Did you get a good deal on your new bike? **Pics**
Hello all,
I recently sold my old 88 CBR, and I am upgrading to a new 2007 CBR 600RR. (What an upgrade! lol) I went into my local dealer, and I got approved. I picked out blue and silver as my color scheme, which I love!
My question is if I got a good deal, or if I should ask again for more money off. The list price was 9499.99 and he knocked $100 off. there was also a destination charge of $300, which he reduced to $100.
Did your dealer hook you up at all? should I ask for more? thanks!

RE: Did you get a good deal on your new bike?
I thought I had a good deal, but now I dont think so. I traded in my Polaris Predator and didnt get crap for it.
So they got an 03 Predator with 50 hours on it and I got an 07 CBR, 4 yr warranty, shoei helmet, and leather jacket for 9.2k out the door. I shoulda got alot more for my trade but the new 450s out there really diminished their value. The dealers are very tricky.
I called a few other dealerships and I even had one guy tell me that he would sell the white model for 12.5k easy.
4 other dealerships refused to deal at all MSRP only... andall refused my trade.....

Well you just made me feel a bunch better! I was thinking I was getting ripped off. I haggled him down $300 and that was hard enough as it was. but I signed all the paperwork, and the bike is mine! I'll post the pics on my 1st post.

It all depends on location. Honestly, at my dealership, average is about retail out the door.

i just got mine and i paid 7k for an 05 with 4k miles on it and a couple aftermarket things that totaled up are about a grand so its not to bad with new tires on it to so i am pretty happy. i looked at an 07 and they told me 9400 out the door and i walked out there door they said that there was no way they could throw in anything for that so me and my dad laughed at them and left. and then i found the bike that i ending up buying just a few days later.

Silvermax2k2, you did fine. The whole point is that you now have your bike and didn't pay full retail for it. Many dealers at this stage are still getting $9,499+++ OTD.
Also, take what you hear from some posters with a grain of salt. What one person considers out the door doesn't include tax or title or tags because they bought it out of state. Others will simply quote prices that are at dealer cost to look good on the forum.
Take it from me, I bought mine from the dealer I work for and I know what cost is. We're selling them at full retail +++. You did well, and no-one else got your bike. It really was the trade that killed you. You always get raped on a trade. It's just a fact.
Enjoy your ride, and never look back. Love your bike for what it is, you can't change the deal now.
