Any advice on keeping a black 05 rr looking show room condition. My seems to be getting more and more buff marks on it.

A lot of my friends use Honda Spray. I did some research and found that Harley spray is in essence the exact same type of cleaner. I called and talked to Sirlimzalot here on the boards about an exhasut system, and happened to mention the same question. He suggested this stuff called Protect-All or somehting to that effect. He says he uses it on everything and does the same job the other stuff does.

I bought a can of the Honda spray and it is the shiz-nit. It is expensive ... will have to look into the other stuff. Of course the Honda stuff smells sooooooooo good[8D]

Hey, can moderators use the word "shiznit" in their posts?

I got the 12oz spray can for $7.99 -- will last about 3 cleanings. And if you inhale enough of it everything is the shiz-nit![&:]

Well, I was going to say, "Get used to it because you are riding a machine on the open road going up to 160mph and you are goning to see some wear" but now I am rethinking the whole thing and going to buy the Honda cleaner this Friday to check it out.

Yup the honda spray works great. All the road tar and chain grease that hits the platics come right off with this stuff. Works great... Highly recommend!!!

What about the grease that splats on the non-smooth metal? How do you get that off?

The Honda polish will work on everything -- plastics and metal. If you got crud caked on I'd suggest a wash with soap and water first then polish after.

at our shop, we use honda polish for EVERYTHING... no joke, no lies. We use it for the counters, for th emirrors in the bathroom, to clean our shoes, the computer screens and keyboards, and on our cars....

Honda polish is good, but if your hands sweat, you'll get these nasty *** marks on your tank, and itll collect MADDDD DUST...

Use PLEXUS... that stuff takes off hard water spots and other crap like that, and leaves you with a CLEANER bike, not just a bike with polish on it thats oily and attracts ****.

PLEXUS - use it...
