Default Cycle World Top Speed Numbers

In the recent issue of Cycle World where they have their "Master Bike" competition they have a bunch of listed stats for the bikes they tested.

For the top speed on the 07 600RR they have it listed as 154mph

They just doesn't seem right to me cause i had my stock 01 up to 165. Unless my speedo was just really that off?

For those that have the 07, what have you been able to get it up while it was still stock?

How much more top end did you discover for those that have added aftermarket equip?

The 600RR didn't come out 'til '03, so how did you have a stock '01?

Is there still that much of a difference with the electronic speedos?? I knew with my old F3 the mechanical speedo was off about 15-20 after you got going pretty good.....but i though it would be tighter with the elctronic ones..no??

Speedo's are off by that much when you are that high up on the speedometer.

Speedos are usually off quite a bit. I figure about 5mph below 90 or so and then it kind of grows from there.
