bro trust me its not all about smokin the gsxr100 (we all kno there corney bikesanyway lol
) believe it or not a 600 can take a 1000 for a little bit on a strait despite the smaller engine size. also what u might wanna do is get ur technique down. ITS ALL ABOUT SHIFTING SMOOTHLY THRU GEARS AND GETTING THE MOST OUTTA UR GEAR!! theses bikes are made to damn near redline so take it up and let it bounce off the rev limiter, then power-shift (shifting w/o engaging the clutch) when ur at high rpms like that simply let of the throttle and quickly up-shift. untill u get ur mods together you'll be able to keep those guys onthe 1000s in check at least for a little while. don't worry bout the ducciti. beautiful bikes and God knows i'd prob wind up gettin one eventually BUT its about the rider on the bike not always the bike being bigger or faster... Good luck

A good site for aftermarket parts is motomummy.com. I just dropped a bunch of $ on there working on my bike and they offer specials like buy pazzo levers and get Driven gel grips for free and buy Speigler full bike steel brake lines and get 3 sets Carbonne Lorraine brake pads (2 front SBK5, 1 rear RX) for just $60 more.
A good site for exhaust systemsis 58cycle.com, I think they had the cheapest exhaust systems by far.
I got a slip-on carbon fiber Two Brothers and it took about 8 lbs off the bike and added about 4 hp. The OEM exhausts are so heavy...also, adding a hardened aluminum sprocket set, a 520 chain and new rotors will take an additional 10+ lbs off the bike. The OEM sprockets are really heavy also.
And there is no way you could beat a 1000 on a 600...and you already bettered your boys by getting the 600RR, which we ALL know is the best 600 you can get, hands down!!
