Default corrected speedometer reading

Does anyone know how far off the speedometer is on an '08 600rr? I was riding earlier today, looked down 100 mph, felt like about 75 or so. So what is the correct reading at this speed? Thanks...

I've riden with my gps and with factory gearing at 100mph it's only off about 7 or 8 mph. The faster you go the more it will be off. My .02

There's no magic universal number if that's what you're asking. i'm off 4 MPH at 60 MPH on my 2006... go past a speed trap or take your bike to a dyno shop to get real vs. indicated speed difference.

if you're doing 100MPH on the streets, make sure you go past a camera too. your ticket should give you your speed... nit wit.

Obviously you can't read. You missed the word 'IF'.

I can't show you someone who bought a sport bike to put around town, but i can show you a ton of sensible people who obey the rules (and laws) of the road.

Ok, im not gonna get into a pissing war with you over this, the point is I am an adult, responsible rider with two kids. I would NEVER do anything to jeopardize my safety. You are correct, I should've read a little closer than I did, but on the other hand you should not assume things about people based on your pre-conceived notions.

It's going to be different for every bike but you're looking between 6 - 10mphs and will increase with higher speeds.

Cheers!
