Default corn?

My dad and I have both found corn in our intakes. I found a few cernals in the thing in my ram air tube from that catches water or what ever in my 05 600rr,and That was when I first bought my bike from a guy in mesa, and My dad found about 10 cernals in his 2005 vtx1300.We thought someone put them in there as a prank but I remembered Mine was there the day I got my bike home..

It's not totally uncommon to find weird things in bikes that have been sitting awhile, be it in a dealership warehouse or in someone's garage. I'm a motorcycle technician and on one occasion, a guy was complaining that his 954 was running poorly. I took the airbox lid off and found about 1/2 pound of dog food in there. Some mice/rats apparently climbed in through the intake tube and made a cozy little home during the winter. But if you live in an area where there is a lot of corn grown, that's probably what it is. Where does your dad store his bike?

Umm i don't think that this relates but sometimes after moderate-hard riding when i shut the bike off it smells exactly like i'm making some popcorn. but i'm pretty sure i have no corn in, on or around my bike, lol what the hell am i smelling? anybody else smell anything similar...listen, i know how incredibly stupid that just sounded but i am DEAD serious.

yeah, def mice... very common problem especially this time of the year if you live where the weather changes, the mice are looking to move inside.

I've never experienced it but I ride year round. If you let them sit a while, those pesky meeses will find their way in.

i think maybe a raven or some kind of bird saw your bike and was like "that's probbly one of those ethenal vehicles" so he was stuffing it with corn to save his enviroment..

my 95 CBR had like a community of dead spiders in my intake - it was sitting in the garage for 2 years so they took refugee in my bike i guess... maybe they should make exhaust caps for bikes? haha
