RE: Comfort
I'm 48 & can ride for hours on my RR. But I have a "saddle experienced" butt!! I rode & raced bicycles for years - including a ride across the USA.
So there's your answer. Put in about 2000 miles on a typical bicycle seat & you'll want to sleep on your RR seat!!!
Seriously, I employ the same techniques I did riding bicycles. Move around alot. Change positions frequently. Stretch. Get lightly outta the saddle often. It's all about relieving pressure points.
Now here's a real tip!! Buy some high quality lycra biking shorts with built in chamois padding!! Ride with those on UNDER your leathers and/or jeans, like your undies, etc. You might try this especially until you develop more endurance on the RR.

I think you'll find some real help with the bike shorts approach. There's no ultimate cure except to put in the miles & build up the tolerance, but...I mean --- BUTT I mean , the chomois 'roos will certainly help you build up your buttodometer

RE: Comfort
Sweet ride this weekend. Went down to Destin, FL with my friends and rode around there for awhile. I think I put about 350 miles on my bike and my **** this weekend! Didn't have a chance to get the bike shorts before we left, though.
My next comfort isssue addresses the high freq vibrations you get on your throttle hand. My hand was pretty much asleep after about 15 miles or so. I have two kinds of gloves and tried both. I used a gel pad glove and that actually made things worse. Does anyone have a techinque or tip for eliminating this? Thanks!
