Default CBR pricing

Hey all, i am new to this forum, names josh... i just have a couple questions. first, how much would you say is a fair price for an 07 600RR? And no, im not a squid, ive been riding for some time, and this would be my third CBR. Anyway, i was riding the other day, on my 08 GSXR, and i got hot by a damn ram truck. Long story short, my bike is totaled and im ready to go back to Honda. Next, can somebody please send me a picture of the harness for a PC3usb? i ahd one on my gixxer, and im curious to see if i can make it work. If not, anybody out there wiling to trade? PM me if my any chance you are.

A fair price I would say is 7000. I just bought a 2007 RR for 6700 which i believe was a steal because it had over 2k invested on just mods. It has everything on it i need. Having problems with figuring out what next to do with it hahahaha. JUst be patience and luck up on a deal/steal like I did

Hi Bap,

I am also planning to buy a 07 600RR with 1300 mies on it. I also offered the guy for $6700. Is this a good bargain?

There are a few extras on the bike which include:
Two Brothers Exhaust
R&R Cycles Fender Eliminator Kit
Front Flush Mounts
Zero Gravity Black Smoke Windshield
Honda Racing Seat Cowel

The thing really confused me is from KBB blue book, the retail value for 07 is $7300, and trade-in is only $5100. I don't know what price I should look for if I am buying from a private seller. Any advice?

Thanks,
Jack

yimthe reason that the trade in value is so low is because the dealers need to make a profit. so if it says 5100 then they will probably list it at 7000 with a cushion to be talked down. i would say that around 7 grand would be a fair price for it.

Hey Yim,

Yes 6700 is a good price for a 2007 with those mods. Whats the color scheme?? And has it ever been layed down??
By the way KBB is really not that accurate as everyone thinks. It all goes by what the bike is going for around your area. Thats what insurance people go by when they need to make a decesion on how much to give you for your wrecked bike.

Hi Bap,
It's a red-black one. Not my first choice (I like white-silver or blue-silver), but there are not many 07 600RR for sell around my area, and this one has a very low mileage, and according to the seller, it's never been down. (I will have to check the bike in person).
My other concern is, it's better to find a used bike with or without modifications? Some people saying mod bikes have more chances being raced or abused.
Also, does mileage matter for a used bike? If I am looking for a higher mileage and cheaper one, what's the max miles on the bike I should be concerning?
Thanks for your advice.

Yim,

Miles on a bike mean nothing it just shows that the person has been riding it which is good and that its broken in. What you do have to worry about if it is a high mileage bike was the maintenance on the bike kept up with such as oil and filter change, chain lubed/cleaned every 500 miles tune ups if over 10k miles. Ask for receipts of the maintenace to see how organized and how much the seller was really into his bike. Very few will have receipts for the work they have done. As far as the mods go its best to start off with a original stock bike with no miles, but if you get a great deal on a bike that has mods its not a bad thing. And some bikes have been raced or abused with the aftermarket mods but in your case with the bike your looking at with only 1300 miles on it trust me he hasnt abused it he more like neglected it lol. Also the bike you are looking at just has a two brothers exhaust w/o the powercommander so its really not reaching to its full potential and is close to stock. All other mods the guy has done is cosmetic. I just bought a 07RR red and black I am very excited. Even though its not the color you wanted that price is GREAT! for the low mileage it has. If you have the money GET THAT BIKE ASAP
