Wow...just got off the phone with Progressive. I would need an additonal job to afford a 600 in Maryland. (an additional $976 a year and I am 42, with a clean record, with 4 additonal bikes)
Any insurance company advice?????

 

If you already have AUTO insurance, State Farm can give a good deal.

In Northern VA, I had progressive and could only afford Liability, but once
I bought a car, State Farm would then also cover the bike, at $400 per year for FULL
coverage. I am 29, clean record. Good luck,

 

Yea,

State farm is really cheap and i have already wrecked one bike. Look there and see what they can do for you. If not there Dairyland or Geico are good places to check too.

weird, I pay 450 through progressive in NY, and I just turned 19.

 

Progressive for me on a 600rr is only $200 with minimum coverage. Pretty dang good price. And im 19.

45, but I was quoted $2000 for my 06 GSXR 1000 when I had that for full coverage
and perfectly clean driving record.

And Foremost wanted $247 for the FJR and the KTM liability only, and I had been with them for 2 years.
my bikes are garage kept, and for recreation only, as I have 2 cars also. When I renewed with Foremost in Janurary
it was $168 for liability only for the 06 FJR, 06 DR650 and 06 CBR 1000RR. I sell the DR and cbr, and get the KTM
and it goes up to $247. Again perfect driving record, over 40, MSF course, Motorcycle lic. for over 10 years, never a claim.
Go figure how they justify that figure.

The insurance Companies are full of it, shop around. And if you ever have to use your insurance have your attorney contact them on your behalf!!!
Had to do that in 87 when my car was stolen, had to sue the insurance co to fix my car. They wanted to put used part back on it.
