Brake fluid frozen
Its FN cold here in Ottawa[:@]plus my trip home from Barrie last weekend, i noticed after looking at my brake fluid res's both front and rear, that it appears frozen, from what ive read/heard its not a concern? actuall freeze temp of Dot fluid is super low, maybe -60 celcius, but the mineral oil or something will freeze before, also the slight amount of moisture inside as well? Comments?
Thx

Is it frozen in just the reservoir or the lines too? do the brakes still work?
I would put it in a garage, let it warm up then change your fluid, bleed the lines and make sure you get all the moister out.

id bleed the system when it gets closer to riding season. if there is any type of moister or any dirt patricals at all it can mess up the lines, res, brakes themselfs. id let it sit for not maybe put like a sock or something round it so it doesnt freeze anymore n wait till the seasons bout to start to bleed it out
well not much i can do about it now. I could always take a hair dryer to it? or get a portable heater maybe? i do have a 110 outlet in the shed? Ill have to wait it out for now though?
