a friend of mine knows a guy w/ a '07 white/silver and he's considering swapping his black mids w/ someone w/ silver mids (me..). my friend photoshopped the matte black mids onto my bike and im kinda in the grey on it. the silver mids have been growing on me and i think it may not look right w/ the lower being gloss black and the mid being matte black. plus the contrast of the silver on black and orange has been growing on me..

what are you opinions......

 

If it were my bike, everything gray or silver would become black, faring, levers, rear set, rear subframe, exhaust, etc.

 

I like the silver better. All anyone does anymore is try to black everything out, looks bad IMO.

 

i blacked everything out on mine and i think its the ****. levers, rearsets, pass brackets, exhaust covers, gas cap just about everything. i need to get some pictures here soon.

it depends on which direction you want the bike to go...what else are you going to do to it? Do you have a mental picture of what the bike looks like when your done? Go off that image in your mind then decide if you want black mids. I also blacked all my silver out...but I'm on a red bike. Comes down to you man...but black will only look good if completes the overall theme of the bike.

both look good. but I guess if I had to pick one, I would probably stay with the silver. the sub frame, exhaust covers, and other things tie it together

 

yeeeeeeeeeeah, i think it looks good but a gloss black would look better. the silver has grown on me i guess. thanks for the opinions guys.

 

you could always get yours painted gloss black... a more expensive way to go but you will acheive exactly what you want
