Default Battery Problemo!

im having some issues with my battery. the bike has been sitting in my backyard waiting for my insurance to kick in on may 1st. (suspence is killing me). anyways the battery seems to die after sitting for about 3-4 days.. i'll take out the battery, charge it, and its good to go, then again, after 3 days of sitting, there isnt enough juice to turn the bike over. i took a mulitmeter to the terminals and when the battery is fully charged it reads 12.3 volts. after the 3 dayswhen the bike wont start it reads 12.0 volts. does .3 volts make that big of a diff??
Also, i took out the battery when i stored it for the winter, when i put it back in the bike the charge read 12.3, so it held its charge for the 6 months it was stored. So i dont think its an issue with the battery???????????
The bike has a viper alarm system on it, im thinking maybe thats draining the battery?? but the guy i bought the bike from had it professionally installed and he didnt have any issues with it??

Any ideas on what the problem could be??? maybe i just need a new battery???

thanks

Actually the alarm shuts off with a key. i had the key to the off position however if the arm/disarm button was pushed the lights on the bike would still flash, it just wouldnt "chirp" so im guessing it would still draw power even if it was turned "off" ????

Heres the deal. You installed a battery and it might be off but the brain and wiring now cause a small amount of a draw. 12.3 is too low as well its supposed to be 12.6+. Make sure your bike is actually charing the battery so let it run and put the multimeter on it.

Btw volts dont matter as much as amps. You can charge it all you want but if there isnt enough water and electrolyte then its garbage. Charge the battery up past 12.6, check for a draw. A draw on a bike will kill it in a couple days. hell ive seen cars with draws kill the battery in a day.

disconect the negative, put the multi on amps switch the lead to amps (if you need to) then touch negative and negative with both probs and u get ur draw
