Any problems?
hey guys, Im new here and im pickin up an 04 600rr later this week. I was wondering if theres been any issues (warranty wise or just little quirks with the 04s) that i might like to know about beforhand. Theres really not much that would keep me from getting it but none the less those things are nice to know of beforehand. You guys have some really good posts and hopefully ill be adding my own here in a week or two.
Welcome to the board! The main bad thing is that these things are such money pits. I mean between modding the thing out and getting tickets your wallet might be sore for a while
Good luck with the purchase and don't forget the gear -- there's too many threads about friends dying lately -- don't want to see any more.

No problems with my '05. I have spent a lot on mods also. It is my first bike and I didn't know there was so much out there for sport bikes. I also agree that some good gear is a must!!!
awesome, thats good to know that theres not any big issues with the bike. And yes gear is a must, at least the helmet anyways. mods arnt too bad if you work at a dealership but i can definatly see them adding up here real quick. what sliders do you guys recomend? anybody test some that they would buy again?

Has anybody come out with no cut frame sliders yet?

As for the directions... I'd like to see them. I give up the hope of not having to drill, but I don't know how I'd cut a hole so it lines up perfect. Is it hard to do?
no it not hard i just did one for my buddy's 6rr..well..left side was not perfect but still fits..right side was on the spot...plus it was my first time installing sliders so i know wat to do now....just need to put sliders on my own bike
