Default Another ticket thread... Advice???

I'm 20....

Ticket #1 - No helmet $142
Ticket #2 - 53 IN 35 $150
Ticket #3 - No Class M License $162

Any advice? I plan on fighting the no helmet one cause I've had the safety course.. (I wasn't getting on the HWY, I was just gointo dinner..so don't fuss bout me not havin it on)..

As for the speeding ticket I plan on taking defensive driving... Hopefully that will go over with the ole' judge..

And I have yet to go take the test for my class M license so what kind of penalty am I looking at there? Other than the initial cost of the ticket...

I see that you're in Texas, as I am. To fight the helmet one, you have to be 21 or older, and then also have the MSF courseOR have health insurance for at least $10,000.You have to submit the info to DPS and get a "sticker" that goes on the bike. Fine only.

Def Driving for the speeding is good. The no Class M license is fine only.

You can get a laowyer, have them appeal it to the county court, and hope the officer doesn't show in court. Or, ask for deferred disposition/probation - you pay the fines but it doesn't go on your record.

So for the speeding ticket....
Defensive driving?
Or probation?

Which one would be the better option here??

Defensive driving is usually cheaper, probation in a lot of the courts isdouble the fine! Defensive driving is only available every two years to get out of a ticket, but can also make your insurance go down a little. I'd do the defensive driving myself, too expensive to go probation for all of them. I got 4 moving violations once, got rid of all of them with defensive driving. Courts can vary, though.
