I can get a discount on any royal purpe product so I was wondering if anyone has tried any royal purple in their bike. Also, I'm pretty sure RP make motorcycle oil now so it wouldn't be car oil in a bike. Thanks

If I remember correctly Royal Purple has molybdenum in it which research has shown can form a sludge due to the moly settling to the bottom after time. Stick with what Honda makes and all will be copaesthetic...

 

Thanks for the quick response fretless. If RP has a moly less oil would that prevent the sludge build up?

 

Anything without moly will, don't be fooled by Royal Purple's claims of added horse power though...it's just a lubricant...not holy water! Get it for the discount, not because they claim it's better than every oil ever made and if it's not any cheaper than the Honda oil on the shelf after the discount, I'd go with Honda's oils!
